A JUBILANT Southampton woman is today celebrating scooping £1,500 in the Daily Echo's Find The Ball competition.
The cash prize could not have come at a better time, for Greta McNeill has just undergone her first session of chemotherapy.
Greta burst into tears last night when the Daily Echo told her of her win. "I just can't believe it. It's so good," she said.
The 66-year-old has just come out of Southampton's Royal South Hants Hospital after undergoing treatment.
Greta said she did not yet have any idea how to spend her unexpected prize money.
Greta, of Carolyn Close, Woolston, is the latest of our readers to get a cash prize in the competition. The jackpot in Saturday's Daily Echo stands at a massive £22,000 with a runner-up prize of £1,600.
