SLIPPERS, pumpkins and ugly sisters will feature strongly tonight as a Southampton school stages a long-awaited production of Cinderella. More than 150 pupils at St Monica Junior School in Sholing will perform to a sell-out audience of around 200 friends, teachers and parents.
Most of the central characters are members of a school drama club which has been rehearsing for the show since October.
A school spokeswoman said there were two performances yesterday in the run-up to tonight, both of which went well.
She said the pupils, aged between seven and 11, were excited about taking part and looking forward to a good audience reaction.
