ELECTRICIANS in Hampshire are being offered free training to install and commission the latest technology behind the intelligent office or home.

Hager is offering a free day's training in the installation of its Tebis TS system for building services control in small commercial and large domestic new-build properties.

Tebis TS is aimed at companies or homeowners who want control of all their lighting, heating and shutters from one system.

The technology also provides flexibility for future additions or a change of demands, perhaps brought about by the arrival of tenants in commercial premises.

Simon Cowley, technical support engineer for Hager's Bristol training centre: "Tebis TS offers electrical contractors the chance to fulfil a huge latent demand for more functionality and energy saving in both commercial and domestic new buildings.

"Installing Tebis involves no new practice for a contractor. Commissioning the system is also very easy and can be easily learnt in a day."

The emphasis for the training is hands on and each course will be limited to six people. More days will be available on demand.

The course, at Hager's Bristol training centre, will also be run exclusively for companies which are specifically interested - even for one or two employees. "Face to face input is vital for this relatively new technology," Mr Cowley said.
