The Wessex Cancer Trust's inaugural Captain's Reception at the Guildhall in Winchester offered guests the opportunity of winning a 15-day cruise around the caribbean in an event to introduce local businesses to the trust.
Hosted by the evening's Captain Tim Etheridge, guests learnt about the nature of the Wessex Cancer Trust from, among others, a registrar in clinical oncology.
Fifty guests wre invited including John Guest, president of Southampton and Fareham Chamber of Trade, Dennis Hall of the city's Mayflower Theatre and Andrew Cowan of Southampton Football Club.
