CHAMPAGNE corks were popping after a Hampshire garden company scooped a top design award.

Hambrooks Landscapes won this year's competition for creating the best small garden landscape.

Husband-and-wife team Norman and Mary Hambrook, who run the Curdridge-based company, came up with a stunning design in a garden at a Chandler's Ford home.

The plot, which had been untouched since the home was built in 1977, was transformed with a bronze water feature.

An array of fast-growing climbers and a range of colourful wall shrubs also impressed judges of the competition, which was staged by the Association of Professional Landscapers.
