PUB retailer Eldridge Pope has completed a £145,000 investment in six superior en suite letting bedrooms at the Stanmore Hotel, Winchester.
The development of first floor accommodation within the Stanmore at Pitts Corner, is part of a massive investment programme creating another 100 bedrooms in pubs across the south of England over the next 12 months. The bedrooms have been created from previously redundant rooms at the pub, and one of them with a four poster bed is quickly becoming a favourite.
"Once guests see it, they fall in love with it,'' said manager Margaret Andrews. "They are all fantastic. It opens up an entirely new market for us.''
