APPEALING: Commander Leo Hayward.
NATIONAL youth sailing charity Ocean Youth Trust has created a new appeals division headed by Commander Leo Hayward.
He will be responsible for national fundraising campaigns, the first will be launched next year to coincide with the charity's 40th anniversary.
Mr Hayward joins the charity after a career in the Royal Navy and said he was delighted with his new post.
"A co-ordinated plan of fund raising activities is vital to support the charity's objectives and ambitions,'' he said. "I am very happy that I will be able to continue my links with the sea in a professional capacity.''
