THE husband of a missing Winchester woman is appealing for her to return.

Mother-of-two, Kirsi Gifford-Hull, 38, has not been seen since just before midnight on Friday, September 16, at her home in Harestock Road, Harestock.

Mrs Gifford-Hull had been asleep on the lounge sofa but and when her husband, Mike, came downstairs at around 7am the next day, she was gone.

Mr Gifford-Hull, 42, made an appeal this week for his wife, who originally comes from Finland, to get in touch.

So far, she has not made contact with any friends in Britain or with her parents in Scandinavia.

She has also failed to respond to calls and text messages sent to her mobile phone.

One of her husband's messages read: "Please get in touch or text us - just to let us know you're okay.

"There are some exciting things planned, like your choral trip to Wales and our half-term trip to EuroDisney and Paris."

Mr Gifford-Hull said their 12-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son were also missing her.

Mrs Gifford-Hull had recently undergone a knee operation and was still on crutches and unable to drive.

She is described as 5ft 4in, with dark brown, bobbed hair and blue eyes, and she speaks with a slight accent.

Mrs Gifford-Hull normally wears wire-framed spectacles and could be wearing a light blue fleece and sandals, said police.

If you think you may have seen her, ring Hampshire Constabulary on 0845 0454545 and ask for Operation Reyno.

Police suggest that Mrs Gifford-Hull could get in touch through the National Missing Persons Helpline, 0500 07000700.
