SEVERAL big names from the world of sport will be helping to bring the Romsey area its own special Question of Sport night next month, writes Peter East.
Former Saints' manager Lawrie McMenemy and club captain Francis Benali are among the personalities likely to be handling the tricky questions at the Question of Sport Supper hosted by the Hampshire charity AAIR (Asthma, Allergy and Inflammation Research).
The two Saints are set to be joined by former England and Hampshire captain David Gower, Olympic medallist and world relay championship team member Kriss Akabusi and jockey Eddie Ahern.
The event will be held at Hamptworth Golf Club on Friday, November 11. The £25 tickets will include a three course meal and there are still a few available on 02380 771234.
Lawrie McMenemy, who has been a patron of AAIR for seven years, is looking forward to the event but admitted that he and his team-mates will probably be dusting off their record books to help with the revision!
