DAVID PORTER led his team of Ian Walton and Peter Elliott to victory recently in the 33rd Patrons of the Hampshire PGA Pro-Am Tournament at Wellow GC.
Playing at his home club, Porter, whose round included eight birdies, put his local knowledge to good effect. He led his team to victory with a 16-under-par score of 124, one shot ahead of Simon Pink's team of Mike Purvis and Bill Mitchell.
Third place went to Wellow's club professional Neil Bratley and his team of Brian Young and Fred Bradley (128).
During the past 33 years the Patrons have provided generous support for hundreds of Hampshire's up and coming professional golfers.
