NEIGHBOURS in Hedge End are thanking everyone who came to see their festive light display and raised a grand total of £2,653 for a Hampshire children's hospice.
Residents in Greyhound Close collected donations for Naomi House over the Christmas and new year period and one house even took the first prize in the Daily Echo and Haskins Festive Lights competition.
It was the third year the neighbours have collected for the charity.
Spokesman Dudley Hawkins said: "Setting up the Christmas lights each year reinforces the strong community spirit in the close and we were delighted when one of our neighbours won this year's Daily Echo and Haskins Festive lights competition."
