AN inquest into the death of a woman who died after fire swept through her Hampshire home was due to be opened and adjourned in Winchester today.
The victim has been named as 54-year-old Yvonne Herod.
As reported in the Daily Echo, her two sons, aged 21 and 24, had to jump to safety from a first-floor window to escape the blaze at Tees Close, in the Valley Park area of Chandler's Ford, in the early hours of Friday.
A spokesman for the mid-Hampshire coroner said the cause of Mrs Herod's death was still to be investigated.
