AN applicaton to register a large area of Tidworth as a 'village green' looks likely to be thrown out by Wiltshire County Councillors next week despite widespread support for the proposal.
More than 50 Tidworth people have written in support of the application and given reasons why the area, next to Station Road, should be so designated.
If the council's regulatory committee backs the idea then plans by Tesco to build a metro sized retail outlet on the site will be thwarted and it will not go ahead.
