Southampton Schools take on Swansea Schools in the quarter-finals of the ESFA under-15 Inter Association Trophy tomorrow, writes SIMON WALTER.

There will be players from several different schools in the city, including Bitterne Park, Bellemoor and Cantell.

Two of the players - Mark Harrison and Jake Long - used to be on Saints' books and several scouts are expected to be at Staplewood (1.30pm).

Southampton Schools have not been in the final since the 1930s and it is several years since they reached the semis.

They have reached the last eight with wins against Jersey (4-2), Gosport (3-1), Woking (4-2) and Havering (3-0).

Team manager Dennis Huxtable said: "We reached the quarter-finals a few years ago but it's a long time since we went any further than that. The main thing is to focus on this game and the boys are all looking forward to playing on a good surface at Staplewood."
