STOCKBRIDGE's sudden deterioration in form continued on Saturday, when they lost 3-0 at United Services Portsmouth.
The first half saw a distinctly lethargic performance from the Robins, who were missing the creative Pete Swinney. Their defence never seemed to get to grips with the speedy US forwards.
The hosts took the lead when a Paul Barnard back-header fell short of keeper Carl Mumford, leaving Mark Collis with an easy finish.
More goals from Collis and Mark Robinson followed before the break, leaving Stocks with an insurmountable task.
After some stern words in the dressing room at the break, Stockbridge looked much better after the interval; Wayne Kerr pulled a goal back from the penalty spot after he had been brought down.
But that was as good as it got for the Robins, who face a tough home game against Hayling United next Saturday
Stocks will be looking for some inspiration from busy midfielder Simon Poultney as they bid to halt their losing streak.
