LITTLE Olivia Gallienne is a true baby in a million.

She contracted leukaemia almost immediately after she was born in a one in a million chance but now she has been recognised for her bravery.

The tot, now 14 months old, has been presented with Cancer Research UK's 'Little Star' award.

Olivia, the youngest patient ever treated for leukaemia at Southampton General Hospital, will be given a trophy and a certificate signed by a host of stars including Australian pop star Kylie Minogue.

Her mother Katie said: "Olivia is our very precious little star and a very brave little girl. She has been through so much in her short life, the majority of which has been in hospital either for chemotherapy or treatment for infections.

"But she is a true fighter and much stronger than anyone could have thought."

Olivia, of Alresford near Winchester, was diagnosed with leukaemia when she was just five weeks old and parents Katie and Andrew did not think their little girl would live to see her first birthday.
