THERE is lots of Easter holiday fun lined up at West End's Itchen Valley Country Park.

On Wednesday there is the opportunity to learn about some of Eastleigh's resident amphibians and reptiles. Young visitors can discover fascinating facts about frogs, toads, newts, lizards and snakes. There will be some live specimens.

You need to book places for this event which takes place at 10am in the visitor centre. It costs £2.50.

On Wednesday, April 12 there is an activity day for 6 to 11-year-olds to discover the "Signs of Spring". The day will include egg painting, nest building and exploring the park. It costs £15 to book a place.

From Good Friday to Easter Monday some wooden eggs will be hidden in the park for children to find and earn a chocolate prize. Visitors can buy an egg hunt trail pack from the visitor centre anytime between 11am and 4pm on those days. It costs £1.50. Ring 023 8046 6091 to book.
