CHILDREN at a Hampshire school enjoyed an Olympic-sized treat when triplejump hero Julian Golley visited a sports event.
Julian, who competed in the 1992 Games in Barcelona, called in at Waterside Primary School in Lytton Road, Hythe, to watch pupils take part in a sponsored gymnastics session.
It was organised in conjunction with Super Schools, an organisation founded 25 years ago to encourage youngsters to take up a sport.
Julian, 34, watched the pupils taking part, answered questions about his sporting career and also had his photograph taken with each child.
Some of the money raised by the event will go to Super Schools. The rest will be used to buy outdoor play equipment for the school, which is moving to a new site at Ashford Crescent, Hythe.
