IT WAS all done with surgical precision as the Conservatives held on to Fareham Borough Council.
There were few surprising results and by the end of the night, the council remained exactly the same as before, the Conservatives with 22 seats and the Liberal Democrats took nine.
The leaders of both those parties spoke of their delight, while the spokesman for Labour hung his head in frustration as his party again failed to win a single seat.
