ROYAL visit: The Ladies Club are organising a trip to Buckingham Palace on Saturday, September 23.
Phone Doreen, on 381652, if you would like to go. She needs confirmation and money by Friday, May 19.
HORTICULTURAL Society: The plant sale was well supported, despite the weather, and raised more than £100 last Saturday.
BLUEBELL walk: I understand from Ted Dowson that last Sunday's bluebell walk was a great success, with 54 walkers from near and far enjoying a very pleasant walk and perfect weather. Despite the cold spring, the bluebells still put on a good show.
PARISH council: At last Monday's meeting, Tim Guinness was re-elected as chairman, and Steven Gould re-elected as vice-chairman. The 2005/06 accounts were approved and a date was set for a working party to meet and discuss affordable housing.
