Tadburn under 11s-football team have just held their presentation evening at The Abbey Hotel in the town centre. There the manager outlined the long association that the junior football club has with Romsey, which dates back thirty years.

He also described how a donation of a replica kit by Saints at that time, has led to the tradition of all the teams representing Tadburn Youth wearing those famous yellow and blue F A Cup final colours to this day.

After receiving thanks for their support over the past season, Christine Whitmarsh representing the Romsey branch of Cluttons Property Consultants handed out trophies to all the players in recognition of their achievements. The Clubman award went to Greg Facey for his progress following his hip condition and Most Improved to Matthew Clarke.

For his contribution of 24 goals Ben Whitmarsh won The Golden Boot, the parents gave their trophy to goalkeeper Jack Gray, whilst the Manager's Award was given to Matthew Johnson. The thirtieth name to go on the clubs under 11s Player of the Year Shield, as selected by the players themselves, was Ben Whitmarsh.
