A finger injury has ruled gloveman Nigel Bungay out of the BAT Sports side for tomorrow's ECB Southern Electric Premier League match against Hursley Park at Southern Gardens, 1pm.

Bungay damaged his hand in last week's 63-run win at Havant - BAT's second consecutive victory in the ongoing title defence.

Skipper David Banks is expected to take over the wicketkeeping role, with Simon Preston drafted in to strengthen the lower-order batting.

BAT have enjoyed handsome wins over both Liphook & Ripsley and Havant so far, but anticipate facing a Hursley side with a spring in its step after last week's win over Alton.

"They look a stronger side this year and, if Billy Taylor plays, Hursley will be a difficult side to beat," Banks said.

Hursley's line-up will hinge on whether Taylor is included in Hampshire's C&G Trophy squad against Somerset at Taunton on Sunday.

Promising former Vospers batsman Ollie Knight makes his full Havant debut against Bashley (Rydal), who could be without three frontline bowlers at the BCG.

Western Australia Under-19 skipper Drew Porter is confined to batting duties because of a damaged right shoulder.

All-rounder Andy Neal has hamstring problems, while Kevin Nash (quad) and Glen Jones (knee) are doubtful bowlers tomorrow.

"All the injuries have come at once and I really won't know where we stand against Havant until a few of the lads turn their arms over in training this evening," confessed Bashley skipper Andy Sexton.

Havant will have in-form Hampshire YCs opener Ben Walker behind the stumps as Chris Rait is injured.

The Hampshire Academy, who have made an impressive start, call up England Under-16 pair Hamza Riazuddin and Chris Morgan against Liphook & Ripsley at the Rose Bowl.

The duo both toured South Africa with England during the February half-term and will bolster a Young Hawks side which is reaching maturity.

"Hamza's pace and hard middle-order hitting and Morg's left-arm spin skills will give us an added dimension," said Academy director Tony Middleton.

Kevin Latouf will be looking to extend his top early season form.

He made 97 at Bashley and an unbeaten 122 against South Wilts last week - an innings which has won the SPL's CricketBits 'performance-of-the-week' award.

South Wilts skipper Rob Wade has broken his thumb and sits out the Salisbury club's first home match of the season against Portsmouth at Lower Bemerton.

Wade was injured in practice and in considerable discomfort when he played against the Academy last week.

James Hayward takes over the captaincy reins and, with Army batsman Dan Webb unavailable, 14-year old Robert Pittman gets an unexpected call-up.

Bournemouth plan to bounce back from a 72-run defeat by Portsmouth and score a second win in three matches at newly-promoted Alton.

Teenage pace bowler Ed Denham (broken toe) is injured, so Matt Mixer is drafted into the side.

Beaten in both their opening games, Alton replace Gary Chalkley with Nathan Sherborne.
