THE ROMSEY Ladies' Darts League has been running since 1966, and this year marked the emergence of the league's youngest ever individual champion, 16-year-old Stephanie Dunnings from Braishfield Social Club.
The winners of the Premier League title, breaking Mottisfont's five-year stranglehold, were Stephanie's club-mates Braishfield Social B - a team that has played together for 28 years. It seems that practice does, in the end, pay dividends!
Around 120 ladies enjoyed the meal and dancing, compered by the Echo's Mike Bennett.
League secretary Lesley May-Hurst thanked all of those who helped to organise this very successful evening, and presented flowers to the league officials.
The new season - the league's 40th - will start in September, and new entrants will be most welcome.
