EASTLEIGH, voted the top council in the south-east for its efforts to introduce renewable energy, is staging a special green weekend.
The free events this Saturday and Sunday will highlight the different ways in which renewable energy can be provided.
Louise Bloom, Eastleigh Cabinet member for the environment, said: "The weekend promises to be informative and fun for the whole family and we look forward to seeing lots of people."
On Saturday at The Wells Place Centre in Desborough Road, Eastleigh, a green energy fair will show how saving energy can save money and help the environment.
The green message switches to West End's Itchen Valley Country Park on Sunday where there will be a family fun day for all ages.
Attractions include guided cycle rides and details on wind and solar technologies.
