HUNDREDS of people turned out in the glorious sunshine to Hoglands Park in Southampton for a music, arts and sports festival.
The Knowledge 2 (K2) festival is the first of three urban festivals to take place in the city during the summer months.
Attractions included city DJs, MCs and bands performing live on the main stage throughout the afternoon event.
Crowds were also entertained by BMX demonstrations and workshops, break-dancing crews and spray art workshops.
One of the co-ordinators, Simon Whitmore, who is a senior youth worker in Southampton, said: "The weather has been fantastic and we have had a lot of people from across the city. It's been great."
Future urban festivals will take place at Hoglands Park on July 1 and August 5 from noon until 6pm.
They have all been co-ordinated through Southampton City Council's City Youth Service and Southampton Voluntary Service's Safe in Sound Project.
