Fleming Park Leisure Centre in Eastleigh is launching its very own cheerleading course, complete with stunts, routines and tumbles.
The ten-week course starts on May 17, and will take place every Monday, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
The course, which is led by a qualified cheerleading coach, has been made possible thanks to the Sports Limited Fund, and is open to 11 to 16-year-olds.
Elaine Blowers, from Fleming Park Leisure Centre, said: “Cheerleading is a new and exciting activity for young people to try. It is very ‘hip’ at the moment, especially due to Glee and other new American soaps.”
