Hampshire welcomes new citizens
HAMPSHIRE’S newest British citizens were welcomed to the UK with a ceremony in Winchester.
Organised by Hampshire County Council the event saw 26 new citizens from 15 countries attend the event at the Great Hall.
The ceremony represents the final stage in granting British citizenship to foreign nationals and provides greater understanding of the rights and obligations of British citizens.
