FIVE people were hurt in a single-car crash on a major Hampshire road last night.

Ambulance crews took three people to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after the smash at 10.50pm.

The collision happened on the A32 Gosport Road, Gosport, at the junction with Wych Lane.

Three ambulances and a rapid response vehicle all attended, with a fourth person from the car also being taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham as a walk-in patient.

Paramedics attended to a fifth person at the scene but they did not need further treatment.
