FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat fire during the early hours of this morning after food left on the cooker caught alight.
The crew from Hightown were called to the ground floor property in Dempsey Close, Sholing, which was fitted with a working smoke alarm, at 3am.
The owner, a man in his thirties, did not require hospital treatment.
