JOOLS Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and UB40 take to the stage at Southampton Common this weekend.

Tonight Southampton hosts this country's most successful reggae band with their instantly recognisable and distinctive style, supported by up and coming reggae star Bobby Kray.

That's followed by jazz man Jools, who after his many successful annual UK tours, is looking forward to playing a night of high class, high energy boogie woogie, with the strong talents of Sam Brown and Ruby Turner.

For more than 20 years UB40 have enjoyed the job of popularising reggae around the globe.

In the process they continue to give enormous pleasure to a public too vast to be defined by age, generation, tribe or fashion.

Other hits include Baby Come Back, Food For Thought, One in Ten and Kingston Town.

The release of Jools highly successful albums Small World Big Band have enhanced his reputation as an outstanding musician and performer, and at Southampton 2006 he will show why he remains firmly at the top of the public's wish-list for outdoor concerts.

Both nights will end with a spectacular firework finale.
