ONE OF Poland's most talented pianists comes to the UK as part of the Mostly Mozart 2006 season London's largest festival celebrating the 250th anniversary of Mozart.
World-renowned pianist Piotr Anderszewski will be joined by Academy of St Martin in the Fields at a stunning concert at the Barbican for one night only tonight at 7.30pm for a musical programme which will include Mozart Overture, Cos fan tutte, Mozart Piano Concerto No 20 and Beethoven Symphony No 6.
Carlo Rizzi will conduct this journey through the Viennese countryside with rustic revelries, violent musical storm and ecstatic hymn of thanksgiving in Beethoven's symphonic recollection of country life.
Piotr Anderszewski applies his renowned poetic gift to one of Mozart's most profound piano concertos. Also heard is Beethoven's Sixth Symphony Keep your eye on him; one day he'll give the world something to talk about,' Mozart reputedly said of the young Beethoven in 1787.
