CHARITY organisers are tickled pink after raising more than £5,000 for breast cancer research at this year’s Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
Revellers donned special pink Breast Cancer Campaign wristbands, wigs and wings, had their faces painted and grabbed wands and whistles as the charity attempted to turn the three-day music festival as pink as possible.
Pink cupcakes made for the charity by Abigail’s Kitchen in Newport were also snapped up by the hungry hordes.
Breast Cancer Campaign’s Lauren Baskett said: “This was Breast Cancer Campaign’s first time at Bestival and we are thrilled that the Isle of Pink campaign was a success. Festival-goers helped us turn the event very pink and raise much needed funds for breast cancer research.”
