MEON Valley MP George Hollingbery is calling on Hampshire’s top cop for more to be done to tackle “serious levels of rural crime”.
He said farmers were angry about expensive machinery being regularly stolen and said the theft of hay, which has recently gone up in price, was a “major problem”.
Mr Hollingbery added fuel oil and red diesel theft was also major problem. The Tory MP has written to Chief Constable Alex Marshall “to see if anything more can be done.”
