HE's been the undisputed master of musical re-invention for over four decades as well as one of rock's most influential elders.

David Bowie, the curious chameleon who morphed into Major Tom, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and The Thin White Duke, has an impressive CV by any standards.

He's seemingly churned out definitive, ground-breaking albums by day while achieving world-wide acclaim as an actor and artist by night.

Not bad for a humble London boy who was stabbed at school, ensuring his trademark odd-coloured eyes.

The unrivalled back catalogue of Brixton's finest can once again be savoured on Saturday, courtesy of the "The Bowie Experience."

The acclaimed tribute act, first established in 1997, appears at the Talking Heads in Southampton's Portswood Road.

Mr Bowie himself is apparently a fan. The Bowie Experience feature regularly on the star's official website and the great man himself has obtained an unplugged CD made by his loyal impersonators.

It's £6 on the door and the glam-fest kicks off at 10pm.
