A TEENAGER was left with a broken jaw when he was attacked in a nightclub queue.

The 19-year-old man was hit in the face when he tried to calm down an argument and he has since had surgery.

The teenager was with friends in the queue at the Junk nightclub in London Road, Southampton, in the early hours of Monday morning when another man barged past the group.

Words were exchanged between the man and some of the victim’s group. After he tried to calm things down, the victim was hit as he turned his back on the man.

The attacker then walked off and the victim returned home with his friends but later went to Southampton General Hospital, where it was discovered that his jaw was broken in two places.

The attacker is white, in his early 20s, 6ft, of medium build, with short, brown hair.

The victim and some of his friends were in fancy dress at the time of the incident, between 1am and 2am on Monday, with the victim wearing a Dalek outfit.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the attack, or the argument beforehand, or who knows who the attacker is.
