A LUCKY lottery player from Hampshire is celebrating today after claiming a £156,000 lottery win.
The mystery winner, from the Eastleigh area, has only just collected the National Lottery prize - three months after the draw in early February.
Players have 180 days to claim their prize before the cash is ploughed in to good causes.
It is not known why the lucky Eastleigh winner took so long to claim their prize.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
