ONE of the most dangerous junctions in central Hampshire is now safer thanks to £26,000 of improvements.
Several serious accidents have occurred at the Longwood Crossroads on the northern edge of Owslebury in recent years. Residents have previously raised concerns that some motorists drive even faster than the 60mph limit and have called for safety works.
Hedges near the junction have been cut back and are being replanted further back from the road so that drivers have clearer sight lines at the crossroads. Hampshire County Council paid for the works after the issue was raised at Owslebury Parish Council.
