TWO Hampshire girls are in line to reach the finals of Miss England.

Laura Entwistle and Gina Inglis are among 20 remaining hopefuls competing in the South East Beauty Awards.

The category replaces the Miss Southampton competition, with girls from eight counties now eligible to enter one regional heat.

Five will be put through to the finals of Miss England, one as the winner of a public vote, one as the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ winner, by raising the most for charity, with the remaining three places decided by a panel of judges at a final presentation in Guildford on Sunday night.

Laura and Gina, in the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ category, also had to create eco outfits which they are modelling here.

Laura, 23, from Winchester, works in the IT department at IBM.

She said: “It would be a really enjoyable experience to get through to the Miss England finals and it would be good to do something positive with the title, like help raise money for charities in the local community.”

Mountbatten School pupil Gina Inglis, 16, from Romsey, said: “I’m only just old enough to take part so to win it and get into the Miss England finals would be great.”

They now need your votes to help them get to the Miss England final.

Lines close this Sunday, May 15.
