‘Otterly’ brilliant chance to win!

Two Oriental small clawed otters have been introduced into a luxurious new enclosure, ‘Otter Oasis’, at the award-winning Oceanarium in Bournemouth. The exhibit is the attraction’s first-ever mammal display, creating a brand new visitor experience for Bournemouth.

To celebrate the arrival of the otters, the Oceanarium is offering ten lucky Echo readers the opportunity to win a family day pass, enabling two adults and two children (up to age of 15) free entry, to see the otters, as well as 300 other different species of sea creature.

To mark the occasion, the Oceanarium is hosting a variety of otter themed family fun entertainment from Saturday May 28 for visitors to enjoy throughout the half-term holidays. Activities include face-painting, badge making, design a plate competition, in association with Poole Pottery, and quiz trails*. There will also be the opportunity for families to meet and interact with the Oceanarium’s new otter mascot, Lily.

Visitors can go along and experience a series of feeding sessions and listen to talks, to learn interesting facts about the furry friends from how they play and juggle with rocks and pebbles, to how they communicate using different calls and instinctive sounds from their intelligent otter vocabulary.

*Activities vary throughout the week – please check the Oceanarium website, www.oceanarium.co.uk, for scheduled timetable or telephone 01202 311993 for more information.
