TRIBUTES have been paid to a Hampshire teenager who died after a road crash in the county.

Erin Shee, 17, died at Southampton General Hospital three days after a collision at East Worldham, Alton.

The student from Whitehill, Bordon, was driving a silver Renault Clio towards Kingsley when she was in collision with a motorcycle.

In a statement, Erin's family said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened at the sudden and tragic loss of Erin. She was the loving daughter of Sue and grand daughter of George and Mary.

"Erin was a strong, beautiful woman, full of energy, who lived life to the full and urged everyone else to do likewise. "She particularly enjoyed her athletics, time with her family and partying with friends. "Erin had an incredibly wide group of friends and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

“Erin Lois Shee was born on June 8, 1993 on Kangaroo Island, Australia before returning to the United Kingdom in 1994. She was educated at Liphook Infants and Junior Schools and Bohunt Secondary School, successfully passing all her GSCEs.

“Erin loved athletics, and in particular the triple jump. She won the Hampshire County triple jump competition for the last three years and was also a member of Aldershot and Farnham District Athletics Club.”

“At the time of her death, she was studying for her A Levels at Alton College and looking forward to studying physiotherapy at Brunel University in September.”

“The family are indebted to all care given to Erin, from the scene of the accident to her passing away in peace at the hospital.

“We are totally devastated at the loss of Erin. She was a most incredible person and wonderful daughter, grand daughter, sister, niece and cousin.

“Life was Erin’s passion and she lived every day to the full. Her untimely passing has left an immense hole where the world does not seem as bright, loud or fun. We now wish to be left alone to get over our tragic loss.”

The accident happened on the B3004 Caker Lane, near Alton on May 27.
