A CHARITY has condemned an arson attack on a textile bank used to raise cash for good causes.
A huge pile of second hand clothing in the textile bank at Romsey’s Cupernham Infant School was destroyed by the fire which also badly damaged the container.
All the clothing was due to go to Dreams Come True – a charity, which helps make wishes come true for children with serious and terminal illnesses.
Louise Dufty from Bryonswell Ltd which acts as agents for Dreams Come True said: “We are very concerned regarding this uncharitable behaviour not only for us, but the other charity banks in the Romsey area.
“We feel let down by one person’s behaviour, but would like to thank those who have supported the charity.”
Romsey police are investigating the arson attack and have asked witnesses to contact officers on 101.
