Power cut hits Eastleigh area
HUNDREDS of homes were without electric this morning following a power cut.
The fault was affecting households in the Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford and Hiltingbury areas of the county.
Southern Electric said the fault was detected at 7.30am but power was back on to all properties by 10.30am.
A spokesman said homes in the surrounding areas also experienced intermittent power supplies while the fault was being repaired.
A faulty cable on the main network was to blame.
