A MOTORCYCLIST was thrown from his bike after a collision with a car.
The rider suffered suspected back injuries as a result of the accident that happened at the junction of Augustine Road and Northam Bridge in Southampton.
The incident happened just after 9.15am today but the road remains closed while the vehicles are recovered and fuel that was spilt on the carriageway is cleared up.
The male rider was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries, according to police.
The female driver of the car was treated for shock at the scene.
