MEDICS in Southampton treating the teen left with killer polar bear’s teeth embedded in his skull after a terrifying attack in Norway say he should return home in the next few days.

Patrick Flinders who suffered the horrific head wounds as he fought off the 14ft beast as it attacked his friends “is stable and doing well” according to doctors.

Horatio Chapple, 17, from Salisbury, died in the attack.

Sixteen-year-old Patrick, from Jersey, is currently being treated at South-ampton General Hospital in its specialist children’s neurological department.

Patrick was flown into the city from Norway. He will soon be transferred to hospital in Jersey, near his home address, where dad Terry said he is a “hero”.

The two other injured party members – Michael “Spike” Reid, 29, the expedition leader who shot the bear, and 27-year-old fellow leader Andy Ruck – were due to be flown back to UK hospitals last night.
