POLICE initially thought the death of a man found in his Bursledon home with his throat slashed may have been suspicious.
Olayinka Abisogun, 50, a security guard, of Hazel Close, was found in his kitchen on April 21 after friends and neighbours grew worried by his absence, an inquest heard.
However, a post-mortem by Home Office pathologist Basil Purdue and an analysis of the blood stains showed the several wounds must have been self-inflicted.
Friends and neighbours spoke of how his character changed shortly before his death.
A former girlfriend, Hanna Gravestock, of Edington Close, Bishop's Waltham, told the inquest in Winchester that Nigerian-born Mr Abisogun, a father of four, was normally a happy man who enjoyed life. But more recently he had become paranoid.
