A 20-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident in Campbell Road, Eastleigh.
Terence Parnell, of no fixed address, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Southampton Crown Court on Thursday.
Last Thursday the town centre street was at the centre of a drama after a man was found with serious injuries.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he received treatment for injuries to his upper body.
During the incident blue and white tape stretched across a dozen houses in Campbell Road which surrounds the redundant Alstom railway works.
Today a police spokesman said: "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."
