A CHILD prodigy writer from America paid a visit to pupils in the New Forest to spread her love for creative writing.
Seven-year-old author and poet Adora Svitak - who can type 60 words a minute, reads up to three books a day, and has written more than 300 short stories - spent the morning at Burley Primary School near Ringwood.
She talked to nine and ten-year-olds about her forthcoming book and presented a slide show on writing.
Head teacher Claire Lowe said: "I hope this will inspire them to go further with their own writing and realise you don't have to be a grown-up to be a writer."
Adora started writing short stories when she was just four years old.
She made the visit to promote her new book Flying Fingers.
She shares the same publisher as fellow child writer and former Burley Primary pupil Libby Rees who earlier this year penned Help, Hope and Happiness, aimed at children going through divorce. Proceeds are going to Save the Children Adora's latest work is about a bat who leads a rebellion against the forest's cruel overlord.
