PEOPLE in the New Forest will be able to stride to a healthier lifestyle following the addition of three new walks in Pennington.
The circular health walks, between one and two miles long, will be officially launched tomorrow. They pass by some of the area's most well-known landmarks, including The Gurney Dixon Centre, the Colonel Henry Douglas Rooke memorial and the listed farm building at Yaldhurst Farm.
Health walks were introduced in the New Forest in 2001 as part of the Walking to Health Initiative, a partnership between Hampshire County Council, New Forest District Council and the South West Hampshire Primary Care Trust.
There are now 19 health walk routes in Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Marchwood, Hythe and Dibden, Fawley and now Pennington.
