OMELETTES were definitely top of the menu at a Hedge End school.
Hampshire-based world powerboat champion Jackie Hunt joined world record omelette maker Howard Helmer as he demonstrated his cooking skills at Freegrounds Junior School.
Jackie jetted in from Portugal, where earlier this week she clinched the Powerboat P1 World Championship Supersport title - she was the only female driver competing.
The pair were at Hedge End to help put into overdrive a national campaign to promote the importance of healthy eating and keeping fit.
The Freegrounds pupils got egg-stra special treatment as part of British Egg Week, getting the chance to meet the cookery and sports heroes.
Howard Helmer demonstrated first-hand just how easy it is to whip up an egg dish fit for a champion.
