ONE of the biggest hip-hop bands in the business is coming to Southampton this month.

On October 25, musical pioneers De La Soul will be bringing their distinctive sound to the Guildhall.

Scene South has two pairs of tickets to give away to four lucky readers.

In 1989 their pioneering sample-heavy debut album, Three Feet High and Rising saw De La Soul hailed as the future of hip-hop.

The group had their first taste of success in the UK in 1989 when Me, Myself and I reached number 22.

Since then they have continued to produce their own brand of hip-hop, turning out albums such as De La Soul is Dead and The Grind Date.

Over the years they have collaborated with the likes of Queen Latifah, Chaka Khan and Gorillaz.

They will be joined for their date at Southampton Guildhall by British duo Dirty Diggers and A Skillz.

Dirty Diggers incorporate intricate and intelligent wordplay over some amazing music.

Their debut release, Diggers Don't Get Days Off EP, has caused a stir while DJ A Skillz has had primetime slots at top UK clubs.

To be in with a chance of winning one of two pairs of tickets, just answer the following question: Which group join De La Soul on the bill at Southampton Guildhall?

Send your answer, name, address, telephone number and other contact details to De La Soul Competition, Scene South, c/o Lorelei Reddin, Southern Daily Echo, Newspaper House, Test Lane, Redbridge, Southampton, SO16 9JX.
